Weekly Bumpdate > 36 Weeks

Ah, reclining seats at the movie theatre.  The best decision ever made by movie theatre designers.

How far along? 36 weeks

Baby Size: About the size of a large cantaloupe; 19-22in, 6lbs

Total weight gain/loss: 38lbs (another 2 lbs!)

Stretch marks? No

Symptoms: Braxton Hicks aren’t quite as often as before but they’re more evident when they do happen.  Headaches on and off.  Had a leg cramp in the middle of the night this week, but it was more bearable than the past few.  Tired.  Oh so tired.

Sleep: Difficult to fall asleep – borderline insomnia.  I’ll lie in bed for almost an hour, and by then, I feel uncomfortable in my position, then have to struggle to roll over, then try to fall asleep again.  Happens each time I wake up to use the potty too!  At least now I get to lounge in bed until I feel like getting up in the morning.

Best moment this week:  Date night!  We had sushi (I ate the cooked stuff, of course), frozen yogurt, then watched Interstellar at a theatre with reclining seats.  These seats are EVERYTHING for preggos!  So comfy!  Great movie too 🙂  …and awesome date 🙂  I also got to cook a lot of yummy dishes I’ve been wanting to cook.  I didn’t cook much while I was working because rushing to cook after work alongside dealing with the aches and pains was too much.  Nice to get back in the kitchen!

Worst moment of the week:  I’ve gotten really irritable, and I feel bad for my husband because I know I sometimes take it out on him.  I always apologize afterwards though… I feel so bad.  He’s been such a great husband.  All of the aches, pains, and things-to-do have gotten me so “on edge” some days.  The lack of good sleep I’m sure doesn’t help either.

Miss Anything? Rolling over in bed without pains in my hips.  Cute clothes/shopping.  Getting things done that I need to get done.  I’ve broken out my to-do lists to make it more manageable each day, but I still can’t seem to get all of the things on the shorter lists done!  Getting so pooped.  My belly feels heavy now!

Movement:  The usual – morning stretches and evening stretches.  I like to pretend he’s trying to find a cozy position at night to go to bed.  Haha.  His movements feel pretty sharp now that he’s running out of room, so I’ll jump sometimes when he stretches a limb.  Hubby is loving leaving his hand on my belly to wait and feel movements.  It’s really sweet.  He keeps saying he can’t wait to meet the little guy 🙂  ME TOO!

Food cravings:  Nothing exciting. Haha.  I’ve been pretty normal this week!

Anything making you queasy or sick:  Nopers

Labor Signs: Nope!

Belly Button in or out? In-betweenie

Wedding rings on or off?  On

Mood:  Fickle – part tired, part irritable, part happy.  Lol.

Looking forward to:  Seeing friends this weekend, but hopefully I won’t get too irritable or tired towards the end of the day 🙂
