I’ve been avoiding writing anything during the weekends because I wanted to keep the weekends free, but I thought it would be fun to keep a weekly update (or bumpdate) since I’m nearing the end of my first pregnancy. I honestly wish I started this sooner so I could remember all of the little details of what happened each week, but it’s okay. I’m happy I’m starting now 🙂 I’ll be sharing an update every Saturday until delivery.
So, here we go!
How far along? 30 weeks
Baby Size: About the size of a Butternut Squash – 17in, 3.1 lbs 🙂
Total weight gain/loss: 28lbs
Stretch marks? Thankfully no.
Symptoms: Let’s just say when people joke about pregnant women having excess gas, they are not exaggerating by any means…
Sleep: Waking up 1-2 times each night; having trouble staying on my left side so I find myself waking up on my right side a lot more.
Best moment this week: When hubby put his ear to my belly after I told him he could potentially hear the baby’s heartbeat directly. Instead of hearing the baby’s heart, however, baby boy kicked him. Lol! It was adorable.
Worst moment of the week: Did not work out this week as I chose to stay under warm, comfy covers with the morning chill now in the air. Going back to routine this coming week though. I feel really guilty!
Miss Anything? Being able to give/receive big hugs from my husband. Belly is getting in the way! Haha
Movement: Lots… especially in the evening around 10pm. I really think he believes he’s a kickboxer.
Food cravings: Bread. Not sure why, but bread is beyond delicious right now.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Thankfully not! I did go through a fish phase, but I haven’t had fish since then to know if it still makes me queasy or not.
Labor Signs: Nope, but I did find out this week that the strange and terribly uncomfortable and sporadic tightening sensations I’ve been having were Braxton-Hicks contractions.
Belly Button in or out? In-betweenie 🙂
Wedding rings on or off? Wearing the wedding band – still loose so far!
Mood: Happy! Honestly getting a little irritable here and there though. I blame all of the muscle cramps.
Looking forward to: Our anniversary. Has it been 2 years already? 🙂
