Yesterday, we had a little adventure at Underwood Family Farm! The Harvest Festival is in full swing, but we didn’t get to take advantage of much of the festival as most of the events take place on the weekends. Honestly, it worked out better this way because Dominic just isn’t at the age where he could appreciate a lot of these events. The big crowds + crazy heat wouldn’t have been a great combination either! Not to mention, no crowds also mean better photo ops 🙂
We went mostly to check out the pumpkin patch and pick out our pumpkins to carve this weekend. Boy, did they have pumpkins! How could we pick just 2?! Dominic loved seeing all these round, orange goodies and getting to investigate a lot of his surroundings. I was thinking it was mostly just a vegetable farm here, but there were a lot of other things going on too. There was a chicken coop, goats, and horses among other animals that everyone could go see and feed. There were also lots of activities for kids like swings, slides and corn mazes. Yes, we went in the corn maze — and survived! I was honestly a little worried that we wouldn’t find our way around. Anyway, it was such a nice outing that we’re planning to come back in the spring for their spring festival!
At this point though, I’m definitely adding this place to our fall family traditions!
