A late post, but I suppose it’s never too late for a few fresh blooms to brighten the day. As it turns out, one of my coworkers had a pass to go to the gardens in Southern California, and when I had mentioned that I’ve been wanting to go see the tulips, she very graciously offered to let me borrow her pass. I couldn’t pass up the offer so I dragged my husband out to Descanso Garden that upcoming Saturday.
Can I tell you how wonderful he is? I could tell he was bored out of his brains, but he really did let me take my time to really bask in the beauty that was blooming. Delicate tulips, aromatic lilacs, and clouds of cherry blossoms filled the place. It was definitely perfect timing! The day got warmer and warmer, so luckily we found a little air-conditioned museum hiding in the back of the gardens — interesting and beautiful art if you ever make a stop there.
I’m hoping to make a trip to the Carlsbad Flower Fields too before the spring flowers begin to wilt, but we’ll see =)
