Be My Valentine? & Life Lately

So, I haven’t written much because I couldn’t really think of much to write besides how cute my baby is and how much I love my family. Haha.

This past weekend was Valentine’s weekend.  On the actual Valentine’s Day, the husband and I dropped off Dominic with my parents (for the first time… I missed him so much!) then went out to look at (then purchase!) my new car.  I feel like such a grown up.  I met a guy, we got married, we bought a house, we had a baby, and then we go out to buy a bigger car.  So typical!  I love it.  I love my life and I love my new car.  It’ll take some time to get used to the bigger size, but it’s quite an upgrade from my current car!  Twas a good run RAV4.  Twas a good run.  We didn’t do anything in particular for Valentine’s except stay home and cuddle.  I’m really not a big fan of going out on Valentine’s Day.  It’s nice to celebrate the occasion and do something nice, but I prefer to pick a random surrounding day to go out than the actual day.  Everywhere is just too crowded and nauseating!  Is it just me?  Instead, we’re going out tomorrow night.

On Sunday, it was my friend’s bridal shower, and it was nice to be out with just adults again.  It felt like a little mini vacation to not have my day revolve around a cute little munchkin.  I love him to pieces, but a short break was much needed.  My friend looked lovely per the usual, and it was great to be able to catch up with her and some other friends in person.  Just a few more weeks until her wedding day… which means a few more weeks to lose a few more of these pregnancy pounds!  I’m a bridesmaid, and it didn’t hit me that the wedding was so close until last week.  I got the “okay” to start working out from the doctor, but I decided to lounge around for an extra week.  This week, it’s time to get to work!  I’m so excited for her wedding — it’s going to be beautiful!

Monday was President’s Day, but I didn’t do anything out of the ordinary as the husband had to go to work.  It was another day to care for and snuggle with my little boy.

Anyway, here’s a Valentine’s snack for ya.  He’s such a little studmuffin! <3
